  1. Our (not quite) Annual Presentation Dinner preparations are well underway for October 5th at the Birstall Golf Club.

As well as our band's performance we will be entertained by our Highland Dancers, enjoy a three course meal (choice of menu)

and no doubt enjoy some more ad hoc performances from our talented members.

Tickets are now on sale priced at £22.00 and are available from me (Steve Bozon) via phone or email.

  2. Well done to all of our Highland Dancers who competed at the Ashbourne Highland Gathering in the damp and drizzle.

There was brilliant dancing and results from all of you but a special mention has to go to Leah Robbie who won a silver in her first ever competition!

Photo's to follow when I can work the computer!!

  3. We have a very busy weekend coming up on 31st August/1st September.

Good luck to our Highland Dancers competing at Chatsworth on Saturday and we will all be together on Sunday for Knighton Park, (Leicester) Family Fun Day, celebrating 60 years of this fab city park.

Loads of entertainment and events start at 12 noon with the band parading through the park to the arena. We will perform again at 2.30pm.

  4. It was with a great deal of pride that I led the band through Leicester City Centre for the annual Armed Forces Day parade.

The band had clearly been up till the we hours shining shoes and pressing uniforms and I don't think we have ever looked so smart and well turned out.

The piping and drumming was also top notch as we all did our best to honour the lads and lasses of our Armed Forces, past and present. By the very many positive comments I received in the Cathedral and also in the last few days I think your efforts were much appreciated.

Thank you all and well done.

  5. A massive well done to all of our Pipers, Drummers and Dancers who spent the weekend performing at Rempstone Steam and Country Show. Temperatures reached 29 degrees and you did incredibly well to keep going.

The crowds were delighted to see or displays and CD sales went very well thanks to our two youngest sales girls, Leah and Rose. I'm pretty sure that the cute factor had a lot to do with their success.

Well done also to Leah, dancing out with us for the very first time. You were brilliant and it was lovely to see you smiling all weekend!

Please send in your photos or videos of the weekend and we'll get them into the gallery.
