  1. Nice site ! I grew up in Shepshed and left England in 1953. I have played bagpipes for over 60 years. I just wondered what was going on in Leicestershire with piping.
The band I play with has been at the Worlds three or four times. We did both G1 and G2 over the years. It looks like you have a good group and are working with youngsters. I teach piping and have been many times to both the old C.O.P. and the Piping Center in Glasgow. My company is House of Bagpipes in San Francisco. There was a pipemaker in Leicester years ago on Waring Street but I think Wearing Street is gone now. Robert Thompson was his name and a friend of my Grandmother.
Just a short note from a visitor . Nice work and maybe one day I can visit a practice nite.

  5. I really enjoyed visting your web site.
I was a member of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada Pipes & Drums in Vancouver BC Canada from 1960 to 1963 then moved to Powell River B.C. Good to see that you are passing on piping and drumming to the younger generation.

I hope that I will be able to make it to one of the events this year to hear you play again
